Runescape
Mood:  party time!
Topic: MMORPG Review

OK, OK. Most of us know about the MMORPG Runescape. Runescape is a very popular game with a lot of quests, and a lot of fun. Here's the review.

Graphics: Up until recently, the graphics on Runescape were total shit. There was no competition for the competitior. Even now, with all the improvements, it could still do with a face lift. 6/10

Quests: Oh, yay, it has quests! Most of the quests are members only and are pretty challenging. Some are hard, easy, or in between. These quests would be the best thing in Runescape, except for the fact that everywhere you look there are tons of spoilers and guides. It doesn't take much in the quests to frustrate you and make you go to Google and type in "runescape quest guides." Maybe this is the reason Quests gets an 8/10.

Combat system: This is one of the things players love about Runescape. They seem to think the combat system is so great, after all, you can be a Mage, Ranger, or even go for Melee type combat! Can someone say sweeeeeet? That may be cool for some people, not for me, I'm used to having way more choices. The way you fight is pretty simple. You left-click on a monster and watch your character swing at the monster, not even hitting it, and deal red numerical damage or blue 0's. Ooh, occasionally, with some rare weapon, you can hit orange damage! Or even poison! OK, OK, Combat system gets a 5/10 for the restriction it imposes and the all too familiar red and blue waves of doom.

Economy: As this is a MMORPG, it has an economy system. And as in real life, there are numerous ways to get jobs and make money. hell, you can even steal for a living! The Econmy part of Runescape is large, you can make profits from NPC shops or even from other players. But you can also have losses, and there are a lot of scammers in Runescape. Yes, scammers, parasites that live off of the dead brain cells of other human beings. Besides scammers, only part of the economy is available to free players. There are skills reserved for members only, including thievery, construction, slaying, and many more. The Economy gets a 8/10.

Overall: 6.75/10. It's an OK game, but watch out for addiction, as this game will hook your brain for no apparent reason. It's also been known to cause suicide.
